Raranga Matihiko Trip.

In week 3 of term 4 our class went to Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn about digital technologies, our culture and legends.

First I did paint 3D. In paint 3D you can paint and when you are finished painting you can make it 3D. It is really fun.

Then I did one of my favourites, virtual reality. In virtual reality you put some eye goggles on and then you hold some remotes. One is a tool remote and the other is a remote where you can chose anything from the tool remote.

Next I did green screen. So when you do green screen there is a video camera 🎥 and a background that is green. Then you pose and look at the video camera and a photo pops up on the video screen and you can see yourself doing different things like flying. It is really fun.

Then I went on a hikoi. A hikoi is a walk. On  the hikoi  I saw big wakas and special trees 🌲 that are rare. There are lots of different carvings and one shows that if you cross your fingers and put them behind your back it means you are lying.

Last on another hikoi I went to the whare runanga and there was a show. It was cool, the people at the show showed us things from our Maori history and how to use the weapons. It was amazing but then I found out the weapons were only models.
