 Walt: game.

Blurb: On Friday 10th of December rooms 3 and 5 had an amazing gaming day.

The Esports gaming company came to our school because we one a competition.

Reflection:

I enjoyed playing so many games.

I found it hard to start the games.

How Ahipara ( Ahiparapara) got its name

Pool trip

Pool trip

On Friday 3rd of November rooms 3,4, and 5 went to the Kaitaia pools. 

As soon as we got there they told us all the rules like the diving pool would not be open the whole time and no running the usual stuff.

When the lifeguard finished talking me and lots of other kids, mainly boys and kryzma went straight for the diving pool to do manus.

I learned how to do manus.

I found it hard to write because I have a broken finger.

Maybe next time I could add some more writing.

Simplifying Expressions

Niue Language

Wala: Niue language week.

 Blurb: In room 5 we have been learning about Niue language week.

Reflection:

I really enjoyed doing task 2 ( Facts ).

I found it hard to translate the words from English to Niuean.

Next time I could make my words the same size.

Water Safety

 Walt: stay safe around water. 

In-room 5 we have been learning about keeping safe around water. 

what I learned: 

I learned that the lifeguards from Ahipara, Northland, New Zealand also take care of all of the beaches/ lakes in the whole of Northland.

Recount: 

I enjoyed listening to all the things that Whaea Nancy had to say.

 I did not like when we all had to sit so close in a circle.

Transformations.

 

   

Walt:  Use transformations. 

In Room 5 we have been learning about transformations including translation, rotation, reflection, and enlargement.

Reflection: 

I really enjoyed doing the line of cemetery task.

I found it hard to do the Transformation task.

Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori

Walt: Learnig Te Reo Maori words.

In room-5 we have been doing lots of Te Reo Maori slides due to Te Reo Maori week.

Reflection:

I really enjoyed doing the Kahoot.

I found the writing hard.

I learned new Maori words I also learned that another word for green in Maori Kakariki and pounamu.

To improve I could maybe do more of the links.

Refugees

In room 5 we have been working on this sheet about refugees.

I really enjoyed resourcing about a refugee.

In room-5 we have had a getting into gaming week it has been super interesting and fun creating a gaming avatar.

In-room 5 we have been learning lots of interesting things in the fantastic Harold van!

The past week in Room 5 we have been writing a Captivating recount. After writing it we are going to see if anyone can guess what we did over the school holidays. Comment if you know who I went to see?

He pikopiko He Taniwha

  Walt: play the game He PikoPiko He Taniwha with Matua Derek.

First, we had to choose patterns preferably our height. After we choose partners we had to line up, one side was Taniwha and the other team was piko. We all had so much fun here are some photos.
